About the Author
Filip Syta is a former Google employee who left the tech world to write books and his debut literary novel tells you why - in a satirical, true and unsavory tale, revealing the savagery beneath the shiny veneer of Silicon Valley.
Syta was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2011, he graduated with a master's degree in entrepreneurship from Lund University, Lund, Sweden. He aspires to make readers identify the truly important things in life.

Great read! How should succes be measured and when does a dream come true?

The Show kept me interested and captivated right from the beginning and until the very last page.
I have worked within the tech industry for 5+ years and I can very much relate to the protagonist, Vic, and his group of friends, Hank, Gabe, Daniel, and "The King". The Show describes a generation constantly striving for more and, hence, doesn't only apply to techies. In the Western World (and very much the Nordics, where I'm from) we have better access to education than ever before. More and more people have longer educations where BSc's, MSc's, and MBA's are becoming commodities. Technology keeps pushing us forward with the power of exponential. Ambitions are high, the pace is incredibly fast and peers are constantly evaluating your success. But what does it mean to land your "dream job" and how should success be measured? Syta addresses and reflects on all of these things and more in an entertaining and very down to earth manner without lecturing or being condenscending. Highly recommendable!

Mr Syta brilliantly brings greed

All those years living the life os someone I didn't even know ( seems what the character might ask himself through many of the pages). Novel full of the most common, complex ( and worse) human emotions we felt were exclusive from places as Wall St on 80s and 90s.
Google, Facebook, Amazon... that's the dream... but It's not all a bed of roses. Mr Syta brilliantly brings greed, ego, true passions, life purpose, emotional emptiness...
In almost 200 pages makes us question: what's the real dream in life? Highly recommended.

Not worth it.

The reviews and description of the book were interesting but it's a total bait and switch. The book is actually about a shallow kid from LA who rambles on about his sexual conquests and cocaine benders while working for a Google like company in San Francisco. The book does not dive into anything on the technical or business side at all, would rate 0 stars if possible.
