Excellent and to the point

I used this book in a course on RF analog filter design. This book is clear and concise. It doesn't shy away from math but it also doesn't fill itself up with too much content. This book emphasizes passive filter design but it does cover the basics of active filters using both op-amps and OTA-C circuits. It also makes liberal use of MATLAB which is useful for any actual implementation. The book's is best in its clear exposition. The only downside is that for all the detailed filter design I could have used a chapter on how to account for parasitics when designing with real components.

Me encantó. La recomiendo 100%

La primera parte me encantó. Admito que el final no me lo esperaba. De todas las novelas que he leido (que han sido muchas) creo que es la primera que leo con ese desenlace. No podia esperar a la segunda parte. Ayer mismo la vi y en tiempo record la terminé. No podia parar de leer. Lloré como una Magdalena en la primera parte de este libro. La autora logró con mucho éxito describir los sentimientos y los hechos de una manera tan clara que yo viví el dolor de Dinna. La manera en que llega Sebastian a su vida es muy credible y algo que talvez pudiera suceder en la vida real. Como en la primera entrega de esta biología me gusta como la autora da tiempo para que las relaciones se desarrollen, o sea que no es un amor que te veo, nos acostamos y ya eres el amor de mi vida. No. Si no que las relaciones se desarrollan en su propio tiempo y es algo que me gusto mucho. La trajedia de Sebastian la pongo en duda, pero en fin, es una novella. Pero no deja de ser interesante. Recomiendo esta saga 100%

Un Deshenlace maravilloso

Un descenlace maravilloso. La autora me trasladó al libro y me hizo sentir y vivir la perdida de Nick. Fue increible como desarrolla la misma con un lenguaje sencillo y universal. Siempre me he preguntado si seré capaz de enamorarme otra vez si perdiera el amor de mi vida. Kathalee nos demuestra con ésta historia que aunque no queramos el amor llega nuevamente. Una historia sin fantasía ni cuentos bastante real, pues a Sebastían no se le hace nada fácil conquistar a Dinna. Una nujer fuerte pero aun enamorada del amor de su vida Nick que lo recuerda en su pequeña hija Nicky. Sebastían siente un fuerte cariño por la pequeña y ese amor es mutuo, pues Nicky lo adora. Sentí miedo leer como no podía deshacerse del bajo mundo al que se habían adentrado en el primer libro. Adoré mucho esta bilogía, la forma en que es narrada y como va desarrollandola para no crear confuciones y quedarnos complacidos. Gracias Kathalee por publicar una super historia.

Madre mía qué pedazo de final se ha aventado la autora!
He llorado con Dinna y me he enamorado de Migooo!
Un gran final para esta bilogía que esperaba leer pues me había dejado muerta el primer libro, éste sin duda es mejor que el primero y todo en él me pareció buenísimooo. De repente quería matar a la prota pero los demás personajes la ponían en su lugar, cada personaje me pareció perfecto y sin duda que la historia te atrapabaaaaa!
Dinna sufrió mucho con lo sucedido a Nick pero no esperaba contar con la ayuda de Sebastian, y cada vez se fue ganando el corazón de Nicky y Dinna!
Felicidades Kathalee! No me defraudaste y me hiciste feliz con el final.
Lo recomiendo al 100%!

A very good book

So, You're in grad school or a major in Neurobiology and you are looking to see if the book is worth the money??
This book does not give core facts in a easy to regurgitate format.Don't read this a day before your exam.
What the book gives you and does better than any other neurobiology book I know about (yes,that's a tall claim, but Im comfortable making it) is a clear and concise walk through the relevant ideas and experiments that went into building a simple 'taken for granted' concept like say the synaptic vesicles.
This book more than any other made me see the facts I read in tons of other books through the eye of an experimentalist and I had a clear appreciation of the thought that went towards designing an experiment and interpreting the result.I'm not sure if this would be the best book to read for an introduction to Neurobiology but if you have some background this is a book you would like to come back to again and again.

David Aidley's 4th edition text is superb for the graduate student in experimental cellular neurophysiology. This text does not cover neuroanatomy or systems neurophysiology. That is probably a weakness for those students hoping to have a comprehensive review book such as Principles of Neural Science by Kandel & Schwartz. Strengths of the book include discussion of Hodgkin-Huxley equations, ion channel kinetics equations, entropy equations, pearls of wisdom related to different aquatic species, etc. LTP and LTD are covered well. Receptor physiology is discussed better in this book than any other with the exception of Handbook of Physiology Receptors Springer by Lowenstein. Cortical neurophysiology is weak here. If you had to choose between this book and other cellular neurophysiology books, you cannot go wrong with this one. Cellular Biophysics: Electrical Phenomenon by Weiss and Foundations of Cellular Neurophysiology by Wu & Johnston are two others to look at that are more complex than Aidley's book. It is a shame that David Aidley died in 2001 so that a 5th edition of this outstanding textbook will not be available.

Aidley - Interesting and user friendly (mostly)

As part of my degree I study neuromuscular physiology and this is the recomended text.It has well layed out chapters with each unit taking a major topic in electrophysiology. It starts with the extreme basic but this gives you the instant reminder of all that you've learned and the basis of electrophysiology. The chapters are layed out in the topics generally study at university, though it goes into more detail. The graphs that accompany many of the topics were found very useful for comparison for practical experiments. This text is helpful and detailed, and useful for study.

This is really what I need!

This is really the book I need! Being a woman, I tend often to be an emotional eater. Having said that, emotional eating doesn't only affect women, but it can also affect men! This wonderful book has helped me how to control my eating behaviour and to put an end to binge eating especially at late night! In less than a week, I started to feel a change in my body and I no longer have strange cravings although I thought it would be impossible to stop my cravings! I really recommend this book for everyone because it made a difference to my eating behaviour so it will do to yours!

Great book with lots of information and practical advice about overcoming your emotional eating problems. It’s really interesting to learn how the mind works and why it can be so difficult to control yourself. But I’m really happy to learn that it is possible.

It’s written in a funny and really personal way. If Beran went to the whole process herself and lost so much weight by following these steps, it must be possible for everyone! Just stick to it and you will see the results. I’ve learned that you can eat really healthy and delicious at the same time.. Like dark chocolate! Also happy that I can keep enjoying my coffee in the morning!

This is my first book of the skinny delicious serie, can’t wait to read the other ones!

Nice book!

I have read many similar books to this one and I must say it’s really high quality, the book is very well written and the information is both well laid out and plentiful. The whole dieting/healthy eating subject is a very difficult one to cover and it’s done really well-having read quite a few books on the subject (without much success) it was really nice to find a book that approaches the metal aspect of dieting rather than just basically saying eat less and move more in a very long winded way. I found it very helpful and I recommend this book highly.
